Track Session - Queen II Elizabeth Stadium (Donkey Lane Stadium)

7:15 pm warmup, for a 7:30 session start

If the track is Ok then Pyramids - If the weather is awful Cooper Test (12 min flat out run.  Tests your VO2 max)

  • 800 metres at your 10k race pace.
  • Jog lightly for two minutes.
  • 400 metres at 5-K race speed.
  • Jog lightly for 60 seconds.
  • 200 metres at current one-mile race tempo
  • Jog lightly for 30 seconds.
  • 1000 metres at 10k pace.
  • Jog easily for four minutes or rest.
  • Repeat this 800-400-200-1000 pattern.

Sunday XC League - Welwyn.

You must wear ERC top.

Location: Panshanger Park, WGC, same location as the Panshanger parkrun.

Time: 10:30am start

Course: 8.3k, two clockwise laps around Panshanger Park with a couple of nice hills per lap.

Surface: Grass and hard pack trails, studs or trail shoes recommended, not suitable for spikes.

Kit: Can be left in the HQ area. Note there are no changing rooms / shower facilities.

Travel: Entrance to Panshanger Park is on Panshanger Lane, SG14 2TS, and the what3words address is ///cult.term.bake. Panshanger Park can be accessed from the A414 heading east towards Hertford or from the B1000. The entrance to the car park is at a point where the road dips.


Parking: CCTV controlled paid parking is available, please follow the signs and obey the instructions of the car park marshals. An overflow car park is available but please car share as much as possible. Parking costs £2.50 for up to four hours for both the main and overflow car parks. Two machines are available or you can purchase a ticket using the RingGo or PayByPhone apps (location 687484).

Toilets: Three toilets are available in the car park area.

Additional Notes
• Please be aware that wearing of headphones is not permitted. Runners will be disqualified.
• Please be mindful that this is a public park and we therefore share it with many other users – specifically dog walkers.
• First aid will be present. Please report any issues to the nearest marshal who will call the first aiders and they will come to you.
• Please do not run if you have any injuries.

Social Club Run - Highbury & Islington to 'The Prospect of Whitby' pub

Repeating our epic club run in memory of our dear 'Sir Ken'. Two point to point routes (6 miles and 9 miles), both starting outide Highbuy & Islington train station and finishing at The Prospect of Whitby pub in Wapping for drinks/food.

Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Edmonton Running Club will be held at the Jolly Farmers, 2 Enfield Road, Enfield EN2 7QS on Wednesday 28th January 2026 at 7.30 pm. One of the items will be the election/re-election of officers of the Club including membership of the Management Committee.

The following officers will need to be re-elected:

2025 has been another very successful year in the development of Edmonton RC and the club continues to prosper. 

If you are interested in finding out more about how you could help on the committee please ask a member of the current team. The committee meets approximately 6 times per year for 1-2 hours and manages most aspects of communication concerning running the club via an active group chat. It is extremely rewarding to work as part of this team and contribute to making the Edmonton RC magic happen.  

We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.  It’s a very important night for the club.
