“Beware of the obstacles and there are 2 inclines at 4k and 6k” said the race starter. Off went the 250 or so runners on this last of the mid week “road” races with some trepidation. The course started on some road and trail then we took a turn onto track running alongside wheat fields which we could see for miles. Through some woods, back out onto more track and back through the park for a lovely finish. By far the most scenic of the mid week league races – personally I loved it and the obstacles and inclines were more than manageable. Credit to the friendly marshals, the distance signage was accurate, followed by a lovely hot buffet to fill our hungry bellies back at HQ whilst admiring the beautiful sunset. Thanks to Avtar for driving and for Tony for cheering us on. Thanks as always to papa Naresh for organising us.
