Hey everyone!! Because I haven’t been able to come to evening runs at the moment I thought I’d just say that I’ll be coming to the cross country tomorrow at Stevenage. Looking forward to seeing and running with everyone!!!

Brilliant – thanks Richard. I’ve signed up.
Parliament Hill XC
Just a follow up to Naresh’s email earlier today regarding the South Of England XC Championships at Parliament Hill.
Please note that the XC spikes are highly recommended for this race.
It is a tough course with 400 meters of elevation gain and the mud which can be ankle-deep on wet days, but the atmosphere is great and normally the race is followed by a celebration in a nearby pub.
Race results at ERC website.
During the year I upload members race results at ERC database. These results form a basis of the club championship points calculations. Besides – it is good to have a list of your races over the years. You can check your results at the search page – http://www.edmontonrc.co.uk/results-search/
Inevitably some results get missing especially if you kept quiet about your participation 🙂
Can you please have a look and check if any of your results are missing. If this is the case – can you please send the link to the official results page to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that parkruns are not recorded in the database as these are formally not races.
Looking to book the winter 10k London Run in February. We have 4 interested and we need 1 other to make a team of 5 in order to get it slightly cheaper!! If anyone else would like to do this race, please get in touch and we can book, ideally asap 😁🏃🏽♀️
Myself, Carol, Jan and Susie are interested.. Pauline and Lorraine are already booked too. Ive never done it! But have heard it’s a fun one 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️ Miranda
Lee Valley Dream Mile and 3k Open on Feb-06
There are mile and 3k competitions at Lee Valley indoor track.
The details and entry link are here – https://www.visitleevalley.org.uk/en/content/cms/outdoors/athletics-centre/competition-entry-forms/falola-dream-mile-3k-open-/
Judging from this year event photos they had a good crowd there – https://garymitchellphotography.zenfolio.com/f96166621
Here are this year results – https://www.runbritainrankings.com/results/results.aspx?meetingid=221522
Based on my school years experience I can attest that racing indoors is very different and a lot of fun 🙂
Thinking of entering the 3k. Any other takers? Rather inexpensive at 8 pounds as well.
Berlin Registration Open
The registration for Berlin marathon ballot is open from today until Nov -07. This is the only European marathon major apart from London and unlike London the chances of ballot success are pretty decent. If you want to do an autumn marathon and have not done Berlin before – no reason really not to apply.
Here is the link:
Run The River lost and found
If you were volunteering at the race today – were there any items left behind? One of the runners is looking for the Trekz Titanium earphones he left in the cafe area.
For anyone still looking for a spring 2019 marathon, Brighton are reopening their entries. You have to register an interest soon by 1pm on Friday 19th October.
XC race dates
For those of you who like to plan things in advance. Herts XC league announced the dates for the glorious mud races:
SUNDAY LEAGUE 2018/2019
OCTOBER 28 CHESHUNT
DECEMBER 2 TRENT PARK
DECEMBER 16 WILLIAN
JANUARY 13 WATFORD
FEBRUARY 10 ROYSTON
Time to mark the calendars 🙂
For any XC novices like me, you might find this link useful.
You’ll find information on each XC course (with map), appropriate shoes and the “simple” points scoring system. Cheshunt is described as “a beginner friendly course…. Parkland with long up and down hill grassy drags and bridal paths…. a road shoe is normally compatible with the early Autumnal conditions, unless there is adverse pre-race weather”.
good luck Team Edmonton!
Thanks for this by the way Richard, really helped know what to expect for my first XC!
