    Track session 14/03/2019 7:15 Warm-up / 7:30 Start

Looking to escape what appears to be an endless going around in circles that is Brexit, then why not join in for a night of actually going around in circles!

Some of you have marathon(s) coming up and this is a tester for you. For those not doing a marathon there is a slight alternative.

    Yasso 800’s
Take your marathon goal time in hours/minutes and convert this to minutes/seconds. For example, if your marathon goal is 3 hours and 10 minutes then convert that to 3 minutes and 10 seconds.
    After a warm-up:
Next, try to run 800 meters (approximately 1/2 mile) at your converted time (3:10 in this example).
Recover after each 800 by jogging or walking for the same amount of time (again, 3:10 in this example).
    Repeat 8 times

The first few should feel pretty easy and you may run under your goal time. However, as you add repeats, you’ll notice that they’ll start to get more difficult and you may have some trouble hitting your times. If you’re having a difficult time progressing past your goal time after a few repeats, you may want to re-consider whether it’s a realistic goal time for you!

If you are not doing a marathon, you can still join in, just run 5-6 800’s but with a smaller recovery!!

    Correction: map avoiding New River.

WW-Maiden Bridge-Hotspur-Bulls Cross Ride-White Water Centre-River Lee Towpath-SOUTHBOUND and return same route. (Choose your own return point to give you the distance you want.)

    https://gb.mapometer.com/running/route_4875978.html

Note: Normal 09.00 start time but if you plan to do 16 miles or more, or if it suits, some might start at 08.00. Plan your own running partners as there probably won’t be regrouping on the longer runs.
